How can I become a Boyd Gaming supplier?
Boyd Gaming will consider new suppliers based on business requirements, existing contracts, and the products or services they offer. Please review our supplier selection criteria for more information.
What does "certification" mean?
Certification indicates that a third-party certifying agency has reviewed your company’s operations and ownership structure, confirming it as a diverse-owned business. Suppliers are responsible for obtaining and maintaining valid certification.
Which third-party certifying agencies does Boyd Gaming recognize?
Boyd Gaming recognizes a number of agencies, including, but not limited to:

  • The National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) and its Regional affiliate councils
  • The Small Business Administration (SBA) – 8 (a) program, HUBZone program, Small Business Enterprise (SBE), Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB).
  • Federal Government Agencies (ex. National Department of Transportation, Department of Veteran’s Affairs)
  • State Government Agencies (ex. Dept. of Transportation)
  • Local (county, city) Government Agencies (ex. City of Las Vegas/Clark County, Chamber of Commerce)
  • Women Business Owners Corporation (WBOC)
  • Disability:IN
  • Women and Minority Business Enterprise Clearinghouse (WMBE), Women Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC)
Can I work directly with Boyd Gaming local properties?
Yes, however, Boyd Gaming operates in multiple jurisdictions, each with its own procurement and certification requirements. As each property must adhere to the regulatory guidelines of its specific location, there may be variations in local purchasing programs. National contracts are not awarded at the local level.
Does Boyd Gaming do business with only large companies?
Boyd Gaming collaborates with companies of all sizes, across local, regional, and national levels.
How often are contracts renewed?
The duration of contracts varies based on the specific product or service. When a contract is up for renewal, Boyd Gaming may invite qualified suppliers—whether or not they are registered in its supplier database—to participate in a bidding process. However, Boyd Gaming reserves the right to maintain existing relationships without initiating a new bid.
What is your turn-around time on invoices?
Payment is typically made within 30 to 45 days after an invoice is received or the goods and services have been accepted.
